Before our employees arrive to sand your bois franc, you must make some preparations in your home. Please follow the guidelines and information below to guarantee a successful sablage de plancher.
Points to keep in mind before we arrive for sablage de planchers:
- Be present when we arrive: by being available when we come, by providing us with a key, or by specifying where you've kept it.
- Free your area before we arrive for sanding: Furniture and things that might get in the way of the sanding process must be removed from the surfaces to be sanded. You can stack your furniture and items in a room that isn't impacted by sablage de plancher.
- Proper availability of sockets: It's critical that we have access to a 220-volt electrical outlet, such as a stove or dryer outlet, to complete the sablage de planchers. Please make sure this channel is clear so our personnel may easily plug in their equipment.
- Doors should be removed: You must have removed the doors above the areas to be sanded before our arrival so that we may execute a thorough job. You can return them to their original positions once the task is finished.
- Remove the shelves as well: All of the shelves within the closets must be removed at least 24 inches from the floor.
- The walls should be empty: Remove any photos frames or anything that are affixed to the wall. The sanders' vibrations may lead them to tumble to the ground.
- To avoid damage, remove or elevate the curtains at least six feet from the ground.
- Keep the painting work after sablage de plancher: If you must paint, we recommend doing it towards the end of the bois franc sablage de plancher. If you must paint before the floor sanding and finishing process, you should budget for a few paint touch-ups once the job is completed.
Some remnants of the previous varnish may remain on the margins of the quarter rounds after sanding. Remove your quarter rounds if you want to be sure we've eliminated any traces of the previous varnish from the rooms' perimeters.
